Perhaps more than any other executive role, the challenges facing Chief Information Security Officers are shared. That is precisely why the MBCA’s CISO Community exists. Throughout the year, the MBCA supports CISOs through benchmarking surveys, virtual discussions, and peer exchanges. Our in-person Roundtable serves as the capstone to that work—bringing together security leaders from across the country to compare approaches, test ideas, and learn from one another's experiences.
We intentionally structure the roundtables differently than a traditional conference. Rather than filling the agenda with presentations, our objective is to create as close to 100% peer-to-peer exchange as possible. We combine guided full-group discussions with smaller breakout conversations that allow participants to dive deeper into the issues they're wrestling with every day.
The agenda itself is built from your input—member surveys, benchmarking results, exchanges in our Slack channel, and the conversations we've had throughout the year. While we'll distribute a detailed agenda the week before the meeting, our focus will remain on the issues that matter most to you, including topics such as:
- AI governance and the evolving cyber threat landscape
- Identity, access management, and privileged access
- Third-party and supply chain risk
- Cloud security and operational resilience
- Security operations, threat intelligence, and incident response
- Board reporting, cyber metrics, and regulatory expectations
- Talent, organizational design, and security culture
- Lessons learned from recent incidents and near misses
