As with all MBCA Roundtables, our goal with this session is to achieve as close as possible to 100% peer-to-peer exchange — a balance of full-group guided discussions and smaller breakout conversations designed to foster candor, shared learning, and practical takeaways. The final detailed agenda will be circulated the week prior to the event.
More broadly, bringing this group together is one of the primary ways we work to support our members. The MBCA is built around a simple premise: operators sharing how their institutions actually operate. Our objective is to create an environment where you can connect with peers facing similar challenges, share what is working inside your institution, and learn from how others are approaching the same issues. In practice, that takes a very specific form across all MBCA Roundtables:
- Self-help introductions to quickly surface who is in the room, what they’ve done, and where they would value input
- “Show & Tell” working sessions, where participants bring a concrete artifact (dashboard, report, framework, etc.) that illustrates how their institution actually operates — for example:
- a credit quality or portfolio monitoring dashboard or risk rating distribution report (Credit Leaders)
- a board technology reporting dashboard or IT portfolio / prioritization framework (CIO community)
- a strategic plan outline or enterprise prioritization / PMO dashboard (Top-of-the-House)
- a commercial pipeline / CRM dashboard or relationship profitability report (Commercial Banking Leaders)
- Small-group discussions, where we organize and rotate groups so that everyone has the opportunity to engage with everyone else in the room
- Member-driven topics, shaped by questions, ideas, and areas of focus submitted in advance and refined into practical working conversations
The intent is simple: create a setting where you can build relationships, exchange ideas, and leave with practical insight you can apply immediately — whether to improve efficiency, strengthen decision-making, or advance key initiatives inside your organization.
Importantly, MBCA Roundtables are included as part of your membership — there is no cost to attend beyond your own travel. We recognize, however, that time away from the office is meaningful. Our objective is to ensure these sessions are worth that investment — highly interactive, grounded in real operating practices, and focused on delivering practical insight you can take back and apply immediately.
We are grateful for the opportunity to bring this Community together and hope you will be able to join us in Nashville in October!
