MBCA has partnered with Gallagher to conduct our biannual Insurance Benchmarking Survey. This benchmark, shaped directly by member input, provides benchmarking insight across management liability, cyber, property & casualty, fiduciary, employment practices, bankers professional liability, fidelity bond, and other specialty lines. It also offers perspective on governance, broker structures, renewal trends, and limit and retention patterns across asset tiers. This survey has been one of our most highly participated and valuable exercises, providing a clear, peer-based view of how insurance programs are structured, governed, and evolving across the group. Building on that work, we’re taking the next step.
In partnership with Gallagher, the MBCA is hosting a dedicated roundtable for insurance leaders across the membership. As with all MBCA sessions, the objective is straightforward:
- Achieve as close as possible to 100% peer-to-peer exchange
- Create a forum for insurance leaders to:
- Connect with one another
- Share best practices
- Compare approaches, experiences, and lessons learned
- Focus on the “how,” not just the “what”
Who Should Attend
To maintain the quality and relevance of the discussion:
- Participation is limited to the senior executive responsible for the bank’s insurance program
- Attendance will be capped at ~50 participants
- Registration will be first come, first served
- There is no cost to attend
What to Expect
MBCA sessions are designed to be highly interactive, candid, and grounded in practical discussion. Here’s what you can expect:
- Peer Exchange: Each participant will be invited to share a recent initiative and a current challenge — setting the stage for focused, relevant dialogue and offline conversations.
- Show & Tell: As with other MBCA sessions, we will incorporate a “show & tell” element designed to encourage practical exchange. In past sessions, this has included sharing artifacts such as dashboards, templates, frameworks, and reporting views — simply the materials leaders rely on to run their function day to day. The goal is not formality, but to create visibility into how peers are actually operating and making decisions. We will provide more specific guidance as we get closer.
- Benchmark-Informed Discussion: Conversations will be grounded in member input, real-world challenges, and insights drawn from Gallagher’s work across the industry
- Open, Off-the-Record Dialogue: These are confidential, member-only discussions — no press, no vendors, no presentations — designed to maximize candor and practical value
We hope to have you join us in Orlando in October!
